This review reminds us how many great perfumes do not see the daylight because they are not embraced by any brand as New York was initially an unsold formula created by Madame Nicolai. I found it very interesting that Patricia De Nicolai was the first female recipient of the Best Young Perfumer award. New York is, indeed, my favorite Nicolai scent and Id love to experience the intense version. Good but its no Bois De Portugal. A favorite is Le Temps dune Fte (sadly discontinued). New York Intense sounds very unusual but nice from the base of the notes. Im a, Im interested in this fragrance because of its earthy/herbal character.
